The Australian Catholic University’s recent decision to move from Mitchelton to Banyo has greated a golden opportunity for our local school children and will be a boost for employment and businesses. The Banyo Seminary location is an excellent site, as there is plenty of space, and it is close to the Gateway Arterial road, buses and trains.
Businesses in Banyo and Nudgee should be considering how to take advantage of the influx of students to the area, equipment/stores needed by the university and services that will be required. With the increase in activity, it’s expected that there will be flow-on of business opportunities that also should also be capitalised.
