NORTHGATE AND VIRGINIA |

The suburb of Northgate was named as the area around the northern (rail) gateway of Brisbane in the early 1880's.
Virginia was named after the Virginia Brick (later Pipe) Company, which was founded c1897 (near Virginia Rail Station). The operations closed in the 1970's. |
