Northgate Ward covers the suburbs of Banyo, Nudgee, Nudgee Beach, Virginia, Wavell Heights, Nundah, Northgate, Kedron (east of Gympie Rd) and Chermside (part). |

Under the South East Queensland Regional Plan (2005 - 2026), the Brisbane City Council will be accommodating an extra 156,000 dwellings in Brisbane.
Accordingly Council is planning for this growth on a city wide basis (Council's Local Growth Management Strategy) and on regions through 'Neighbourhood Planning'.
While 'big picture' planning is important, it's essential we identify what's required in the future (or even now) in individual suburban communities.
That's why I'm constantly reviewing what infrastructure is needed in each Northgate Ward Suburb.
These infrastructure plans are 'rolling documents' constantly being updated through community input and projects scheduled and listed by Council officers.
As the Ward Councillor; it's the local community input that is most important to me.
I encourage you to look at what’s planned for your own suburb and make suggestions to me on what you agree with, disagree with and to add your ideas.
Council's budget development processes are complex - it's really important for me to ensure those matters important to Northgate Ward residents are brought forward for consideration in yearly budgets and future year estimates.
