Current budget submissions for Nundah made on behalf of Northgate Ward Residents:-
(Please note that these are only submissions - funding is subject to the Council budget processes).
* Safe crossing for the Kedron Brook Bikeway at Melton Rd * Full fencing of the playground area in Boyd Park Nundah * The footpath on the Eastern side of Atthow Pd Nundah, between McMaster Street and Hows Road be continued all the way to Hows Road. * Resurfacing of Boyd Rd, Nundah. * Extra park lighting around the stage area at Boyd Park Nundah. * Installation of a safe pedestrian crossing point on Melton Road Nundah for residents to access Centro Toombul * New park lighting in Nundah Memorial Park near the rotunda and new power outlet and electric BBQ near the play area. * Traffic management around the intersection of Boyd Rd and Park Rd, Nundah. * Traffic calming for Ivo and New Ivo Streets Nundah. * Increased park lighting in Oxenham Park Nundah. * Construction of a Council cark park at Nundah Village Shopping Centre. * Construction of a sealed pathway and pedestrian bridge between Northern Suburbs RLF club and Nundah Historical Cemetery. * Replacement of kerb and channeling in Boyd Road Nundah. * Construction of pedestrian lights for crossing Buckland Road between Melton Road and Duke St. * Installation of public toilets in Oxenham Park Nundah. * Installation of a safe crossing point of pedestrian lights on Rode Road, Nundah, near Bayview Terrace. * Funding of a Personalised Public Transport (PPT) Service for the Chermside, Kedron and Wavell Heights area. * Installation of a safe pedestrian crossing point on Melton Road Nundah, adjacent to Oxenham Park * Improve safety at the intersection of Hows Rd and Melton Rd Nundah (roundabout). * Reconstruction of the footpaths on both sides of Melton Road Nundah, between Masefield St and Buckby St. * Relocation of Nundah library to the new stage 2 retail/commercial development in Nundah Village. * Council security cameras for Nundah Village. * Undertake a traffic management plan for the area between Sandgate Road and Ryans Road Nundah and Northgate, with the view to implementing traffic management devices where appropriate. * Complete the fencing for the perimeter of the Hedley Ave Off-Leash Dog area. * New concrete footpath for the western side of Nudgee Road between York St and Nellie St. * New bikeway link between Nudgee Road and the Jim Soorley Bikeway (in the vicinity of Toombul Road. * Reprioritise Ryans Rd with traffic management so that cross roads have priority (Melton Rd and Kruetzer/Atthow Pde). * Cyclist/pedestrian bridge at Pound Drain adjacent to Nudgee Rd. * Lighting for the Boyd Park Off-Leash Area.
